Abstract

Over time the involvement of women as perpetrators of crimes is quite a lot, in theory or patterns of crimes committed by women and a fact is found that many crimes committed by women are not known because of the feminine nature of the perpetrators. No exception being a perpetrator of a narcotics crime. From a geographical and administrative point of view, Bengkalis Regency is the dominant coastal area so that narcotics can enter the Bengkalis area by sea, in this case the Bengkalis Police is a guard to prevent and take action on the abuse of narcotics circulation in the Bengkalis Police jurisdiction. The problems raised by the author are firstly what factors cause women to be involved in narcotics crime cases, secondly how are the efforts to overcome by the Bengkalis Police in preventing narcotics crimes in the Bengkalis Police jurisdiction. This research was conducted using empirical legal research methods or sociological legal research, namely research using a field study approach. while seen from its nature that is descriptive data that the authors get consists of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data that the author obtained from research respondents with data collection tools in the form of interviews and questionnaires, while secondary data in the form of statutory arrangements, books, journals, etc The results of the research that found that the factor of women commiting narcotis crime was internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are factors that are influenced by the perpetrators themselves such as personality, education and religion of the perpetrators, while external factors are factors that influence from outside the perpetrators such as economic factors and social factors. And the countermeasures carried out by the police are firstly countermeasures with preemptive efforts, by inviting the public and giving appeals through print media, social media, and educative approaches, secondly preventive efforts by conducting mobile raids to places prone to narcotics distribution. and cooperate with other government agencies, and finally repressive efforts by providing action in accordance with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
