Abstract

Supervision of Foreigners in general has the meaning of supervising Foreign Nationals entering and leaving, their existence and activities in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. Thus, strong legal instruments and institutional cooperation are needed for supervision and law enforcement that can supervise Foreigners entering Indonesian territory. What is meant by "strangers" is a person who is not a citizen of the Republic of Indonesia, or someone who lives and settles in a certain country but does not come from a country that is not officially registered, which has different purposes, for example in order to pursue education or other things. The purpose of this study is To find out the role and what are the constraints of the Immigration office In the supervision of foreigners in Dumai City. The type of research in writing this thesis is a descriptive research method of quality where this research explores and analyzes to provide meaning and meaning in problem solving. The data collected is in the form of words, images, and not numbers. Thus, an explanation and description of the research topic can be obtained that is in accordance with the research title. This writing consists of primary data, namely research in the form of interviews, documentation and observations and secondary data obtained, namely with the results of interviews in research on the role of the class II immigration office of TPI Dumai in the supervision of foreigners in dumai city. Conclusion The guidance on the regulation of examination arrangements in the form of providing socialization carried out by the last pora team and enforcement such as calling companies and foreigners who violated the rules and then given strict action, but the implementation of the socialization has not run optimally because the community and some respondents still have not received direct socialization related to foreigners' residence permits in Dumai city. The suggestion for this is related to this, the office or pora team should not only focus on providing socialization to companies and foreigners, but the community is also given socialization and establish cooperation between the class II immigration office of TPI Dumai and the community.
