Abstract

BAZNAS Pekanbaru City is a zakat management institution that was initiated and confirmed by the Pekanbaru City level government, established in 2001, whose management is in accordance with Law no. 23 of 2011 and Riau Province Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2009, this research was conducted at BAZNAS Pekanbaru City, in the distribution of zakat funds aimed at helping the economy and benefiting people in need. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the Zakat Fund Distribution Mechanism in BAZNAS Pekanbaru City. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, while the number of informants in this study consisted of 5 people consisting of the Chief Executive, distribution staff, and 3 mustahik. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation based on data analysis that the author did on the results of the answers from the respondents. From the results of this study it can be seen how or the mechanism for distributing zakat funds by BAZNAS by means of a productive distribution pattern, namely providing assistance in the form of cash to those who have small businesses but lack funds for their business, local distribution, namely prioritizing mustahik in the region and distribution that is fair to all groups, namely distributing zakat funds to eight ashnaf so that the purpose of these zakat funds can help the economy of the people who are in Pekanbaru City.
