Abstract

The purpose in this research examined the influence of school ethic implementation on students’ discipline at class IX Islamic Junior High School 2 Pelalawan Pangkalan Lesung sub district Pelalawan Regncy. The subject in this research was class IX students at Islamic Junior High School 2 Pelalawan and the object in this research was school ethics implementation on students’ class IX discipline at Islamic junior high school 2 Pelalawan Pangkalan Lesung Sub District Pelalawan regency. The population in this research was 84 students and sampling took 84 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Research finding showed that there was any influence of school ethics implementation on class IX students’ discipline at Islamic junior high school 2 Pelalawan Pangkalan Lesung Sub District Pelalawan Regency. It was known by simple linear regression analysis with significant result smaller than 0.05 where 0.000 < 0.05 and the hypothesis was accepted. The influence of school ethics implementation on students’ discipline was 0.288 and in low category because it was in range 0.20-0.339. It meant that there was low influence between school ethic implementation on students’ discipline. It showed that students’ discipline (Y) was influenced 28.8% by ethics implementation (X). Meanwhile others 71.2% was influenced by others variable that did not mention in this research. If the influence of school ethics implementation on students’ discipline was indicated that when school ethics implemented in school, students’ discipline would improved. Vice Versa, when school ethics did not implemented well, it would decrease students’ discipline.
