Abstract

The cooling room is one of the necessities for humans, in everyday life humans need cooling devices such as cabinets or refrigerators to store food, drinks, fish and so on. The thermoelectric cooler works based on the Peltier effect, that is, if two dissimilar metals are supplied with DC current at the connection, a heat pump phenomenon will occur. This principle is used by the thermoelectric cooler as a coolant. The cold energy produced by the thermoelectric cooler can be used for cooling rooms according to community needs, for example for fish coolers. The cold temperature produced by the thermoelectric cooler depends on the number of thermoelectric coolers used, the more thermoelectric coolers used, the lower the temperature. The advantages of the thermoelectric cooler are that it does not require fluid/coolant, does not require special maintenance and is easy to carry everywhere. To find out how the characteristics of the cooling room that utilizes the heat of a fish grill to operate the TEC. Then is the use of fish grilling heat using TEC able to cool the cooling room. In the research looking for currents and voltages for testing the cooling room. Then testing the temperature and humidity of the cooling room using TEC. Utilization of fish grill heat by using the amount of 10 TEC which is able to cool the cooling room. For the amount of 10 TEC which produces the best cooling room temperature of 15.3 °C, then the highest humidity value is 69.7%, then the highest current value is 20.2 A, then the highest voltage value is 10, 9 V, then the highest power value is 220.18 Watt, then the product heat load value is 323.82 Watt, then the COP value is 1.470.
