Abstract

This study aims to find out the contribution of arm muscle strength to the ability to service volleyball in male extracurricular male students at Kuantan Mudik 1 High School in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The population in this study were male students of extracurricular at Kuantan Mudik 1 Public High School, totaling 18 male students. The sampling technique used in this study is using total sampling technique. The research instrument used was a test of arm muscle strength by doing pus-ups and service tests on volleyball. Data is analyzed based on correlation techniques, correlation techniques used are correlation requirements test obtained in statistical techniques, while hypothesis testers are used moment product correlation with a 5% correlation degree. The results of the analysis of research data show that there is arm muscle strength contributing to the ability to serve volleyball in male extracurricular male students of Kuantan Mudik 1 High School in Kuantan Singingi District. The magnitude of the contribution of arm muscle strength to the ability to serve volleyball is equal to 9.52%, which indicates the level of relationships belonging to the low category, while the rest is influenced by factors or other independent variables not observed in this study.
