Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve chest pass skills in basketball learning through cooperative learning models in Pekanbaru MTS Hasanah. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The population in this study were students of class VIII4 MTS Hasanah which amounted to 30 people, 14 men and 16 women. The sample technique in this study was total sampling so the number of samples was 30 students. The data analysis technique uses performance tests that are doing basketball chest pass practice, then the results of the test are assessed. From the implementation of the first cycle the results were 17 students who reached the KKM score (56.66%) and 13 students who had not yet reached the KKM score (43.33%). Followed by the implementation of the second cycle and the results increased with the number of 25 students who reached the KKM score (83.33%) and 5 students who had not yet reached the KKM score (16.66%). Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in basketball chest pass learning through cooperative learning methods in class VIII4 MTS Hasanah Pekanbaru.
