Abstract

The internet is a global communication network that connects all computers in the world even though they have different operating systems and machines. Interconnection Network (internet) is a global system of all interconnected computer networks. Internet comes from the Latin "inter" which means "between". The Internet is a network consisting of billions of computers around the world. The Internet involves different types of computers as well as different network topologies. In managing network integration and communication, the standard internet protocol, namely TCP/IP, is used. The method used is Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) and Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) and is integrated into the Thin Client network. The advantage gained from VRRP users is the availability of higher default VRRP configurations without the need for dynamic routing configurations or other types of routing on each end-host. After that, HSRP provides high network availability by providing redundancy for IP traffic from network hosts. In this study, we will discuss VRRP (Virtual Redundancy Router Protocol) and HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) on a Thin Client network with web server analysis services performed using QoS (Quality of Service) such as delay, throughput, jitter and packet loss. Overall the results of the comparison above can be concluded that VRRP is better than HSRP.
