Abstract

In recent times, many schools apply tahfidz programs to attract parents to send their children to study in their schools. Considering that the process of becoming Quran memorizers should be taught by competent mentors, because if not, the children will make a lot of mistakes in memorizing it. The purpose of parents to send their children to study at schools that provide tahfidz programs is to make their children can memorize the Quran with good makhorijul letters and tajwid. In fact, there are many methods used in the process of memorizing the Quran that can help them fast and easy to memorize. The aim of the study is to investigate the efforts of Tahfidz Teachers in Improving the Quran Memorization of students in grade II at the Salafiyah Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School, the foundation of Al-Imam Ibnu Hazm, Kampar Kiri Hilir district. This is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim is to investigate the efforts of Tahfiz teachers in improving the Quran memorization program at the Ula level at Salafiah Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School in Kampar Kiri Hilir district conducted from January 2022 to April 2022. The subject of the study is the Tahfidz teachers. The data collection techniques of the study are observation, interview and documentation. Based on the results of study on the learning through tahfidz program at the ula level of Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School in Kampar Kiri Hilir, it can be concluded that the efforts of the Tahfiz teachers are as follows: (1) The efforts of tahfiz teachers in teaching tahfidz to the students are by applying the Muroja'ah learning method, making targets for achieving memorization, halaqoh, starting lessons with ablution, implementing habituation and giving gifts to the students (2) The efforts of tahfidz teachers is by building cooperation with parents/guardians of students by monitoring student memorization handbooks and holding meetings with parents.
