Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain the implementation of the socialization program for acts of violence against women and children at the Dumai City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service. This study uses a complementary type of quantitative and qualitative. The research population came from employees at the Dumai City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service and people who experienced violence. Sampling by census and simple random sampling with a total of 25 people from the total population. Data collection is done by carrying out observations, distributing questionnaires, and documentation. The data obtained were collected and grouped according to the type of data. Then analyzed based on the explanation and description based on the percentage table. The results of this study found that the implementation of the socialization of the program activities for preventing violence against women and children by the DPPPA of Dumai City as a whole was in the fairly implemented category. These results clearly illustrate that the Dumai City DP3A in carrying out socialization activities with a minimal budget allocation, so that the duration and place of socialization are limited to urban areas. The implementation of the DP3A socialization used the lecture method and did not use other media to support the socialization, so that the socialization became stiff and boring making the participants less understand the content of the material. Communication and coordination in the socialization activities carried out by DP3A still did not go well, several times there were presenters and participants attending. There has not been a set of supervision standards for socialization activities, no evaluation has been carried out so that the advantages and disadvantages of the socialization activities that have been carried out cannot be mapped.
