Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of volleyball's under-passing abilities through the application of audio-visual media to students of class X MIPA in 1 Kerinci Kanan Public High School, Siak Regency. The form in this study is classroom action research. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA in 1 Kerinci Kanan High School in Siak Regency, amounting to 32 people. Techniques in selecting these samples are total sampling, decision techniques and measurement techniques. The data analysis technique in this study is to use performance tests, namely to practice lower passive skills, then the results of the tests are given an assessment. During the cycle 1 test there were 21 students who achieved KKM scores (65.62%) and those that had not yet reached KKM 11 students (34.33%). So from that continued with the implementation of the second cycle and the results achieved increased with the number of 28 students who achieved KKM (87.5%) and 4 students who had not yet achieved KKM (12.5%). With this, it can be concluded that there is an increase in volleyball's under-passing abilities through audio-visual media on students of class X MIPA in Kerinci Kanan 1 High School, Siak Regency.
