Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of government outrage and unemployment on poverty in North Sumatra province. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of annual quantitative figures from 2011 to 2020. This study used the method of multiple linear regression analysis and used several tests, namely statistical tests and classical acidification tests. The data is processed using the eviews 10 application. From the results of this study, it is known that: 1) Government expenditure has a negative and significant effect on poverty in North Sumatra Province, 2) Unemployment has a positive and significant effect on poverty in North Sumatra province.
