Abstract
This research was conducted in the District of Gunung Malela, Simalungun Regency. Related to this research, the object of this research is refill drinking water business. The purpose of this research is to determine the suitability of the application of accounting, especially the basic concepts of accounting. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. This research is descriptive, namely managing the results of interviews and questionnaires in a structured manner so that decisions can be made. From the results og interviews and questtionnaires, it is known that there are still many respondents who have not applied the basic concepts of accounting. However, the application of accounting in several businesses is appropriate in using the basis of cash recording, the concept of time period, but not yet in accordance with the concept business continuity, the concept of business unity and the concept of matching. Thus, this study also illustrates that this system needs improvement to improve its quality and level of success in the future.
