Abstract

This research is titled "Javanese Reduplication in Kempas Jaya Village Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau ". Problems in this study (1) What forms of reduplication exist in Javanese in Kempas Village Jaya Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Riau Regency ?, (2) What is the meaning reduplication of Javanese in Kempas Jaya Village, Kempas District Indragiri Hilir Riau? This study uses the theory put forward by Ramlan (2009) and Kridalaksana (2007) using descriptive methods. Sources of data and data in this study are all utterances from several resource person at Kempas Jaya Village, Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. The type of research is field research, and research research namely qualitative. To collect data, the author uses the recording technique, and fishing technique. The results of data analysis obtained 60 data, from all forms of reduplication, partial reduplication, and reduplication of affix affection. And 60 data, from meaning reduplication expresses the meaning of 'lot' which is related to the basic word, Reduplication means the meaning of ‘lot’ which is not related to the word basic, the meaning of reduplication states that ‘the action is in form the basis is repeated, the reduplication of the meaning is expressed ‘deeds done with delicious, casual, or with pleasure, the reduplication of meaning states that the action in the basic form carried out by two interconnected parties, the meaning of reduplication states ‘things related to work that are in the basic form, the reduplication of the meaning states the repetition actually can't be changed.
