Abstract

Medicines and health supplies are one of the important components in pharmaceutical services and the basic needs of the community to realize the welfare of the community. Difficulties in procuring BPJS drugs affect the administration of drugs that can be given by hospitals to BPJS patients. The shortage of BPJS drugs has resulted in pharmaceutical installations delaying the purchase of drugs which resulted in outpatient BPJS patients being delayed in giving their drugs The formulation of the research problem is First, What is the Form of Legal Protection for Availability of Medicines for Outpatients BPJS Participants at Arifin Ahmad Hospital, Pekanbaru City, Second, What are the Obstacles in Providing Legal Protection for Availability of Medicines for Outpatients BPJS Participants at Arifin Ahmad Hospital, Pekanbaru City. This research is observational research by means of survey research, while its nature is descriptive, that is, where this research provides an overview of a complete, detailed and clear statement. The results of the research are a form of legal protection for the availability of drugs for outpatients BPJS participants at the Arifin Ahmad Hospital, Pekanbaru City, is the hospital to complete the availability of drugs by collaborating with the e-catalog distributor, but in this collaboration it may be possible to have several medicines the stock is empty, so to overcome this the hospital must look for the same drug content, but the problem is, the price of drugs purchased by the hospital at private pharmacies with the price of drugs purchased on e-catalogs from the government is usually more expensive which results in a large price difference. should be a burden on the patient but patients often object if the difference is charged to them, so the hospital recommends that patients buy from outside, and Obstacles in Providing Legal Protection for Unavailability of Medicines for Outpatient BPJS Participants at Arifin Ahmad Hospital Pekanbaru City are still not fulfilling/availability of drugs and consumable medical materials needed, provision of drugs for BPJS patients in hospitals is carried out in collaboration with the e-catalog distributor, so the hospital has to wait for the drugs, because indeed if the hospital takes drugs from other private distributors, the price of drugs for BPJS patients will have a large difference from government distributors, and this will cause additional fees that must be paid by the patient, but BPJS patients receive no charge for health services, so to overcome this, it is allowed for patients who are in an urgent condition to buy their own drugs that they do not get at the hospital and drug distributors who deliver drugs to their homes. very sick I want to come late.
