Abstract

The decline in the rate of production that occurred in a well and the low oil price caused oil and gas production wells to be closed for economic reasons. However, if the oil price rises and the well is economical again to be produced, reactivation will be carried out. Reactivation is a experiencing well reactivated after it was previously closed for economic reasons. Y well is a reactivation well, to determine the performance of Y wells, the Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) calculation is performed. in addition, to determine the size of the tubing that is used optimally on the well, TPR is calculated. The IPR used is Pudjo Soekarno and Wiggins IPR, this method is used because it is in accordance with the condition of wells that have high water cut. Based on the IPR curve, the production flow rate of a well can be determined. Based on the IPR curve, the optimal flow rate of the well can be determined by calculating Tubing Performance Relationship (TPR). Calculation of TPR is done by plotting the pressure traverse. The results of the calculation of Soekarno's Qmax IPR obtained results of 2.999 BFPD, while the results of the calculation of Qmax IPR Wiggins obtained results of 3.380 BFPD. The results of the comparison of the IPR curve above obtained the price of Wiggins Higher than Pudjo Soekarno and approached the value in the actual conditions in the field. It appears that the Wiggins curve shows more high water cut conditions than the shape of the curve that approaches the Linear curve model. Based on the recommendations of the nodal analysis in determining tubing intake using the Pudjo Soekarno and Wiggins IPR curves, the method used is the Wiggins method with a 3 in tubing size and the optimal flow rate obtained at 1,900 bbl / day.
