Abstract

The Urban and Regional Planning Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Riau Islamic University, is a very important study program for the community in managing the city for the better. However, there is limited interest for the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program. With the creation of this application, the Urban and Regional Planning study program its laboratory element intended to be introduced. The application was developed using 3D Blender, Unity as such a 3D display, and by using the markerless technique and using the ARCore SDK library. According to the results of the experiments, 3D animations may appear at distances between 5 cm and 200 cm and can be presented both indoors and outdoors. They can also track positions anyplace provided that the light intensity is sufficient and over 10 lux. User testing received a score 81.57% with the conclusion that respondents “Strongly Agree” The Application of Introduction to Labor Equipment for the Urban and Regional Planning Engineering Study Program using Augmented Reality can help promote the Urban and Regional Planning Engineering study program of Islamic University of Riau.
