Abstract

Faculty of Engineering, Riau Islamic University, Faculty of engineering is one of the faculties at Riau Islamic University, but there is a lack of information about UIR's engineering faculties to the public. This application is intended as a media introduction and promotion of UIR engineering faculties to attract more public interest and provide information about UIR engineering faculties. This application was created using SketchUp 2020 for making 3D objects and using Unity 3D for the user interface, using the ARCore SDK as an augmented reality library, and using markerless as a 3D object tracking marker. Based on tests collected at a distance of 5 cm - 200 cm 3D objects can appear, and objects can be displayed outside or indoors and can track locations anywhere with the condition that they have sufficient light intensity above 10 lux light intensity. The results of the user test obtained a score of 83.14% with the conclusion of the respondent "Strongly Agree". Applications for the promotion of engineering faculties using Augmented Reality are made to help promote the engineering faculties of Riau Islamic University.
