Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the village government in coordinating village development in Tandun Barat Village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The Tasks of the Village Head as explained in the Rokan Hulu Regional Regulation No.3 Year 2016 Article 44, namely: implementing Village Development, Coordinating village development in a participatory manner, fostering community socialization, and empowering the village community. The theory used in this study is a role according to Ndraha (2003; 53), which is related, each pointing to the application of several values to development outcomes and programs. This research uses quantitative methods with descriptive survey types. The sampling technique for the Village Government and its Devices uses Census techniques, while for the Community using Simple Random Sampling (simple random) technique is the random sampling of members from the population where the population has the same opportunity to be sampled regardless of the strata in the population . Collecting data obtained directly and respondents through observation interviews, questionnaire interviews, documentation. To analyze the data using a frequency table tool and the results will be concluded. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be drawn that the role of the village government in coordinating development in Tandun Barat Village, Tandun Subdistrict, Rokan Hulu Regency can be said to be quite instrumental. Suggestions that researchers can give to the government of Tandun Barat Village, namely the Village Government must pay more attention to the maintenance of development in Tandun Barat village, so that it is cleaner and maintained there is no more garbage scattered on Drainese and the community must be more active in village development .
