Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interaction between chicken eggshell flour and beef blood on the growth and production of okra. This research was conducted at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This study was conducted for 3 months starting from February to April 2021. This study used a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was chicken egg shell flour (A) which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 15, 30 and 45 g/plant. The second factor was cow blood (S) which consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 100, 200 and 300 ml/plant. Parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant and fruit weight per fruit. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ honest real difference test at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it shows that the interaction between chicken eggshell flour and beef blood has a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant and fruit weight per plant. The best treatment was produced by chicken egg shell flour 45 g/plant and cow blood 300 ml/plant. The main effect of chicken egg shell flour has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was chicken egg shell 45 g/plant. The main effect of bovine blood has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment for cow blood is at a dose of 300 ml/plant.
