Abstract

This study is motivated by moral problems among students at the State Integrated Agricultural Vocational School (SMKN Pertanian) in Riau Province. The problems that happens to students during prayer hours e.g. there are still some students who do not pray and hang around in the cafeteria, there are some students who litter, and so on. In overcoming this problems is by investigating how peer interactions occur at SMKN Pertanian of Riau Province. This study aims to investigate the influence of peer interaction on students’ morals at SMKN Pertanian of Riau Province. This is a quantitative study with a correlation approach. This study has 221 respondents. Because the population is more than 100, and the sampling technique used is the slovin formula, so it obtains a sample of 143 respondents. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. The results of the analysis of hypothesis testing with a significance value of p = 0.000 <0.05, it can be interpreted that there is an influence of peer interaction on students’ morals at SMKN Pertanian of Riau Province. The magnitude of the influence can be seen in the summary table with an R Square value of 0.991 or 99.1%. It means that the students’ morals are influenced by peer interaction by 99.1% with very strong criteria. In conclusion, the results of the study show that there is an influence of peer interaction on students’ morals at the SMKN Pertanian of Riau Province.
