Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ learning motivation problem that was happened at Islamic junior high school Al-Islamy Padang Luas village, Langgam sub district, Pelalawan regency where in this school, students learning motivation was in low. It could be proved that some students were lack in motivation in learning, some of them slept in learning was being presented, they did not give attention to teacher when explaining material, they did not follow the subject, they did not do their task by teacher, chatting with friends when teacher explaining material and it showed their learning motivation would be influenced on their success in leaning achievement. This research formulation questioned about was there any influence of teacher’s creativity on students’ learning motivation at Islamic junior high school Al-Islamy. The population and sample took class VII students in 41 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. The variable consisted of two variables, X (teacher creativity) and Y (learning motivation. From hypothesis test result with significant score p = 0.000 < 0.05 and it meant that there was any influence of teachers’ creativity on students’ learning motivation at Islamic junior high school AlIslamy Padang Luas village, Langgam sub district, Pelalawan regency. The influence score could be seen from summary table where R square score in 0.312 or 31.2% could be showed that learning motivation was influenced by teacher’s creativity in 31.2% with low category. It could be concluded that research finding that there was any influence of teachers’ creativity on students’ learning motivation at Islamic junior high school Al-Islamy Padang Luas village, Langgam sub district, Pelalawan regency.
