Abstract

The existence of tetanus toxoid immunization injections for brides-to-be before carrying out the marriage is reviewed from the Joint Instruction of the Ministry of Religion and the Ministry of Health Number 02 of 1989 concerning Tetanus Toxoid Immunology for prospective brides is still applied to this day aims at health and safety for prospective brides and babies who will be born from tetanus infection. In this study, there are several formulations of legal problems, namely as follows, First, what is the existence of Tetanus toxoid immunizationinjections for brides beforemarriage?.Second, what are the factors that cause the bride and groom not to immunize Tetanus toxoid before marriage in KUA Tualang District, Siak Regency?. Against this study, penelitiuses a type of empirical juridical pnelitian that is descriptive. The data sources in this study can be distinguished from primary data and secondary data. Primary data were collected with field study techniques with observation techniques, interviews, documentation ofskunder data with literature study techniques. This data analysis is a qualitative method, then conclusions are drawn with a deductive thinking method, namely taking the impression from general to special things. From the results of the research and discussion that the researchers found, namely as follows: First, the existence of Tetanus toxoid immunization injections for brides before marriage in KUA Tualang District, Siak Regency is still being carried out and applied as an administrative certificate for prospective brides who want to hold a wedding. The two factors that cause the bride and groom not to immunize Tetanus toxoid before marriage in KUA Tualang District, Siak Regency are: the bride-to-be has a congenital disease, then there is no desire by the bride-to-be, then the lack of knowledge or education related to the importance of immunization of Tetanus Toxoid.
