Abstract

In order to improve the image, work and performance of government agencies towards professionalism and support for the creation of good governance, it is necessary to unite the direction and views of government employees that can be used as guidelines or references in carrying out managerial and operational tasks throughout the task fields and agency organizational units integrated government and disciplinary attitudes are needed by every employee to improve the image. The discipline of civil servants is the ability of Civil Servants to comply with their obligations and avoid prohibitions specified in the laws and regulations. This study aims to determine the comparison between attendance manually with the Finger Print on the discipline of employees of the Government Administration and Regional Autonomy Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Province. The method used is a quantitative method with an associative and comparative approach. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing is done by testing the partial test, and using a comparison test that is a paired sample t-test. The results of this study are the application of manual attendance does not affect the discipline of civil servants in the Government Administration and Regional Autonomy of the Riau Province Secretariat, while the application of finger print attendance has a positive and significant effect on the discipline of civil servants Government Administration and Regional Autonomy Regional Secretariat of Riau Province. Furthermore, from the results of the paired sample t-test conducted on the third hypothesis, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the application of finger print absenteeism and manuals on the discipline of Civil Servants at the Government Administration and Autonomy Bureau of Riau Province where the average value of manual attendance is is 11.14. but when using Finger Print attendance, the average score can reach 29.98.
