Abstract
The current decline in moral values ??is one of the negative impacts of globalization, which has an impact on culture, ethics and morals such as dress, politeness to parents and teachers, relationships between men and women. From these problems it is necessary to form morals in the educational process. Morals are the fruit of faith if applied in everyday life. A person with noble character will show the quality of his faith in Allah. Meanwhile, to realize noble morals, the teacher's role is needed in guiding him. The role of a teacher is very important in the learning process for students, because the teacher is the main actor in the school to guide students' morals to become akhlakul karimah (commendable morals). Guiding student morals is the responsibility of a teacher at school. Based on the problems above, the purpose of this research is to find out the role of the PAI teacher in guiding the morals of students at SD Negeri 169 Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that PAI teachers play an active role in providing students with an understanding of students' morals towards parents, PAI teachers play an active role in providing students with an understanding of students' morals towards teachers, PAI teachers play an active role in providing students with an understanding of students' morals towards others. friend.
