Abstract

This study was to determine the role of the Covid-19 Task Force in handling the rapid spread of the Covid-19 virus in Pekanbaru City. The government is an organizational institution that certainly has good and perfect goals and objectives that it wants to achieve within a certain period of time. Therefore, the government needs to make a strategic plan to achieve the desired goals and objectives. The Covid-19 Task Force Role assessment indicators used include: Dynamic aspects of the position, Set of rights and obligations, Social behavior of incumbents, Part of the activity that a person plays. This type of research uses qualitative. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. Informants and Key Informants in this study amounted to 12 people. This purposive sampling technique was also used for the withdrawal of informants. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Pekanbaru City Covid-19 Task Force is in tackling the rapid spread of Covid-19. in carrying out the tasks of the Pekanbaru City Covid-19 Task Force, the aim is to disseminate information to the public to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in Pekanbaru City;
