Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Role of the Pekanbaru City Drug and Food Control Center in Overseeing the Distribution of Cosmetic Products Containing Hazardous Substances, as well as to find out the barriers faced by the Center for Drug and Food Control of the role of BBPOM in the circulation of cosmetic products circulating in Pekanbaru. The indicator of this research is setting standards and methods for measuring performance, assessing performance, comparing performance in accordance with standards, taking corrective actions. The type of research located at the Pekanbaru City Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BBPOM) is a descriptive survey, which prioritizes questionnaires as a means of collecting data and data collected with this tool and then becomes the main raw material for analyzing empirical conditions of research objectivity. The population used in this study is the Head of Information and Communication at the Central for Drug and Food Supervisors, Employees, Cosmetics Sellers in Pekanbaru City. The sampling technique used in determining individual samples is the census technique for the Employee population and the purposive sampling sampling technique for Cosmetics Sellers. The types and data collection techniques used in this study consisted of, primary data collected using questionnaires and interviews and secondary data collected using observation techniques. While the data analysis technique used is to use the frequency table tool. Based on this analysis technique, the researchers assessed and concluded that the role of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BBPOM) in overseeing the circulation of cosmetic products containing hazardous ingredients in the city of Pekanbaru was "Good Enough".
