Abstract

Communication is an important activity in human life, especially in organizations,including the Pekanbaru Anambas Islands Regency Student Association (IMKKAPEKANBARU). IMKKA Pekanbaru is an intellectual, social and community student organization. This organization is independent. It is not an easy thing tobuild good communication between members and the chairman or fellowmembers because there are still obstacles in communicating. From the discussion above, the researcher is interested in seeing and examining more deeply what are the organizational communication barriers of the Anambas Islands RegencyPekanbaru Student Association. The type of this research is research that uses descriptive method with a qualitative approach, uses purposive samplingtechnique and data acquisition through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study illustrate that the Anambas Islands Regency Student Association Pekanbaru has various organizationalcommunication barriers, from technical disturbances (internet quota), psychological disorders (sickness), physical disorders (HR and time dormitories),frame of mind disorders (errors). interpreting messages, assumptions, andprejudices) and Cultural Disturbance (attitudes of inability to change, selfish attitudes) at the Anambas Islands Regency Student Association, Pekanbaru.
