Abstract
This research was conducted in building shop business in Tualang sub-district, Siak district. This study aims to determine whether the building shop entrepreneur in Tualang District, Siak Regency is following the applicable basic accounting concepts. This study uses qualitative methods by collecting primary data and secondary data. The technique used in the decision is a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria. Based on predetermined criteria, the final sample that can be collected is 22 building shops. After all the data has been collected, the data are grouped according to their respective types and presented in tabular form, then analyzed and described selectively. The results of this study indicate that respondents in the building shop business in Tualang sub-district, Siak district, have not fully implemented the applicable basic accounting concepts.
