Abstract

Localization of prostitution brings association and adverse effects to adolescents so that teenagers who live in prostitution localization have known sex and promiscuity from an early age. Although not involved in prostitution, some teenagers living in prostitution were found to be pregnant out of wedlock. This study aims to determine the self-concept of unmarried adolescent pregnancy who stay in ex-prostitusion area. Self-concept is the point of view or individual perception of themselves comprehensively. It can be obtained from aspects of knowledge, hope, judgment, ethics morality, social, family, physical and personal. The informants in this study were two adolescents who had unmarried pregnancy and lived in the ex-prostitution area with her parents as commercial sex workers and pimps. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection methods uses interviews and observation. The result of this study indicates that the two informants had different self-concepts influenced by environmental factors and parenting.
