Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of quail manure bokashi and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of celery plants. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was carried out for 4 months starting from September to December 2021. The design used in this study was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Quail Manure Bokashi consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 50, 100 and 150 g/polybag and the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 2,4, 4.8 and 7.2 g / polybag. Parameters observed were plant height, harvest age, number of tillers, number of leaf midribs, wet weight per plant, economic weight per plant, plant dry weight, root volume and root crown ratio. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the level of 5%. The results showed that the interaction of bokashi quail manure and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on harvest age, number of tillers, number of leaf midribs, wet weight per plant, economic weight per plant, plant dry weight, root volume and root crown ratio. The best treatment was giving quail dung bokashi 150 g/polybag and NPK 16:16:16 7.2 g/polybag. The main effect of quail manure bokashi was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is 150 g/polybag. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is 7.2 g/polybag.
