Abstract

Agro-industry is a form of business that can increase added value, absorb employment while taking advantage of market opportunities and reduce the risk of food shortages. One of the agro-industries developed is tofu agro-industry. This study aims to analyze (1) the characteristics of craftsmen and profiles of tofu agro-industry businesses, (2) the use of raw materials, processing technology, production processes and the use of tofu agroindustry labor, (3) costs of production, production, income, efficiency, and value added agroindustry knows. This research was conducted for 6 months (October 2018 to March 2019) with the survey method. Respondents were taken census of 1 tofu businessman in Simpang Perak Village. The results of the study show that the age of the entrepreneur is not productive, namely 65 years, 6 years of education, 16 years of business experience with a family of 2 people. Tofu agro-industry business profile is a small-scale business industry with its own source of capital. The use of 50 kg of soybean raw material / production process with the use of supporting materials includes 4 firewood / production process, 1 liter gasoline / production process, 1 liter vinegar / production process and electricity Rp 0.137 / production process. The total cost incurred is Rp.591,543 / production process, gross income of Rp.800,000 / production process and net income of Rp.208,457 / production process. The Return Cost Ratio (RCR) obtained is 1.35%, the added value of Rp.5,619 / kg knows and the rate of profit obtained is 88.82%.
