Abstract

Guidance and counseling services should be responded positively by students, because these services are very benefical and can help them solve their problem, howevwr, conditions in the field show that many students do not respond positively to the existence of guidance and counseling services. The purpose of this research was to find out the description of students’ perception on the service of Guidance and Counseling at State Senior High School 2 Kandis. This research involved 210 students as samples selected through simple random sampling technique. The measurement tool used in this research was scale of students' perception consisted of 51 items by Sobur (2003) and had been modified by the researcher. The statistical analysis used in this research was descriptive statistics analysis. The research results showed that students of State Senior High School 2 Kandis had perception in medium category. Students’ perceptions of guidance and counseling services at at State Senior High School 2 Kandis when reviewed from the gender, class and indicators also show that they are in the medium category.
