Abstract

Lifestyle is a pattern or way of an individual showing his self-actualization to the surrounding environment. Individuals are able to show their qualities in a unique way, which symbolizes the status and role of the individual for the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to see a picture of the lifestyle of the students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach, where the data collection tool used a scale. The sample in this study were students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau as many as 260 students who were determined by using a porposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a lifestyle scale of 39 items. The analysis used in this research is data portrait analysis. Based on the results of data analysis with descriptive analysis, it was found that the lifestyle of the students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau, was in the moderate category range 37,30%. Lifestyle students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau, on average 21 years old and female students are more likely to follow a lifestyle that is currently trending compared to male students.
