Abstract

This research was carried out in the Mata Naga Farm garden, Birandang island village, Tambang sub-district, Kampar regency, Riau. This research was conducted for four months, starting from February to May 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of rice husk volume and Multi KP fertilizer on the success of longan fruit pods on milk grafting. This study used a completely randomized factorial design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the administration of rice husk volume which consisted of 3 treatment levels, namely: 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 cm3/polybag, the second factor was the selection of the Multi KP dose which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely: 0, 3, 5 and 7 g/plant. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications to obtain 36 experimental units. Parameters observed were the percentage of pistils turning into fruit, graft union recovery time, fruit loss percentage, leaf loss percentage and milk grafting success percentage. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with an honest significant difference test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of rice husk volume and Multi KP dosage was significant on the parameters of the percentage of pistils turning into fruit, the percentage of fruit loss and the percentage of leaf loss, with the best treatment the volume of rice husk was 0.9 cm3/polybag and the dose of Multi KP fertilizer was 7 g/plant . The main effect of rice husk volume was significant on all observation parameters, with the best treatment being rice husk volume of 0.9 cm3/polybag. The main effect of the Multi KP fertilizer dosage had a significant effect on all observation parameters, the best treatment was the Multi KP dose of 7 g/plant.
