Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the response of growth and yield of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) to Urea and Cow Urine fertilizers. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor was Urea Fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels, namely no treatment, 1, 2 and 3 g/plant and the second factor was Cow Urine. consisting of 4 levels, namely without treatment, 100, 200 and 300 ml/l water, obtained 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there are 48 experimental units. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves per clump, leaf blade length, number of tillers per clump, wet weight of plants per clump, root volume, and stem diameter. The data were analyzed statistically and followed by BNJ level 5%. The results showed that the response of lemongrass growth to the interaction of urea fertilizer and cow urine had a significant effect on the observed parameters, namely plant height, number of leaves per clump, tillers per clump, plant wet weight per clump, and root volume and had no significant effect on leaf length. and rod diameter. The best treatment was urea 3 g/plant and cow urine 300 ml/l water. The main response of lemongrass growth to the application of urea fertilizer was significant for all observation parameters, the best treatment was 3 g/plant. The main response of lemongrass growth to cow urine had a significant effect on all observation parameters, the best treatment was 300 ml/l water.
