Abstract

The decline of oil production caused by increased water production occured in well Hali 42, squeeze cementing is the method used at well Hali 42 in an effort to reduce water production. The cementing method that used is bradenhead cementing, wich is squeeze job without using a packer in its operation and from that job it results in a decreasing water cut 27%; fluid rate 39 BFPD; and changes the oil rate to 28.13 BOPD. Economic analysis certainly needs to known that the squeeze cementing job is feasible or not based on gross split contract using an economic indicator : NPV, IRR, and POT. From all the calculations that have been made based on this, it can be concluded that the NPV value is $569.066,14 US; IRR is 98,55%; and POT is 34,42 days. From these results, it can be stated that all calculations of economic indicators carried out are feasible for the squeeze cementing job at well Hali 42. Sensitivity analysis has also been carried out to show that the higher of oil price and cumulative production, the more feasible and profitable it is, as well as the decrease in investment costs and opex, which will make the previously unfeasible squeeze cementing job feasible at well Hali 42.
