Abstract

this research Type is experimental research aims to know the influence of the method of discussion with media images against the interest of students study economics class XI SMAN 1 Teluk Meranti 2018/2019 school year. The subject of this research is the entire class XI IPS in Meranti Gulf SMAN 1 of 44 students. the variables used in this study researchers is the method of discussion with media images as free variables and bound variables as learning interest. As for the engineering data retrieval used is the questionnaire (question form). Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained can then be concluded there was significant influence between the method of discussion with media images to increase interest in learning economics in SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Meranti. The results of the pre-test of two classes have been done then didapatlah average class XI IPS1 of 64.77% and Class XI IPS2 amounted to 67.23%, and post data-testnya iyalah average class XI IPS1 of 87.05% and an average grade of XI IPS2 of 96.36%. Then it can be seen that the results increased after treatment that is done using media images with the method of discussion. As well as recommended for teachers as reference in learning to be more creative in choosing a medium of learning so that students are not saturated.
