Abstract

In learning, various problems that are often encountered include lack of student motivation in accounting subjects and students' readiness in learning so that student learning outcomes are not as expected. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) to improve economic learning outcomes in 2 Kelayang Public High School Academic Year 2018/2019. The method used in this study is the experimental class, to determine the effect of a treatment on the subject of research. The population of this study was all students of class X IPS in SMA 2 Kelayang. For class X IPS 1 as a control class and X IPS 2 as an experimental class. Data from the results of this study were obtained using instruments in the form of multiple choice questions as many as 18 questions which were done at the time of pretest before the learning process took place, and posttest was carried out after the implementation process was carried out. Based on the results of the final data analysis, the value of tcount = 2,271 and table = 2,079, which shows tcount> t table, means that there is the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to improve the learning outcomes of Social Sciences class X students in material economics in Indonesian economy in SMA 2 Kelayang.
