Abstract

The study was backed by the low learning outcomes grade XI IPS 2 SMAN 2 Bangkinang Town on Economic subjects is known from observations. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes through the application of model learning Think Pair Share (TPS). Research methods the Research Action class that is implemented in two cycles, the subject in this study i.e. students of Class XI IPS 2 of 33 students. Research instrument used in this research is the observation sheet test, student learning, teacher observation sheets, notes field. The research aims to demonstrate improved student learning outcomes at each ranahnya. It can be seen from the percentage of student learning outcomes in cycle I, i.e. an average of 78.48% with classical ketuntasan of 75.75% and cycle II increased i.e. average 87.42% with ketuntasan classical of 96.96%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that in economic studies through the model Think Pair Share (TPS) in the town of Bangkinang SMAN 2 can improve student learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study, the researchers suggest that teachers can implement the learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) in the eyes of economic studies.
