Abstract

This study aims to determine community participation in the development of Lubuk Kembang Sari Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency. The problem raised in this study is about the lack of community participation in development in Lubuk Kembang Sari Village. Assessment indicators to analyze community participation in development include intensive communication, social, economic, political and cultural climate, opportunities to participate, freedom to take initiatives and be creative. The type of research located in Lubuk Kembang Sari Village, Ukui District is a descriptive survey, which prioritizes the interview list as a data collection tool and the data collected by this tool is then used as the main raw material for analyzing the empirical condition of the objectivity of the existence of the research objectives at the research location. The key informants in this study were the Head of Lubuk Kembang Sari Village, the Secretary of the Lubuk Kembang Sari Village, the Members of the Lubuk Kembang Sari BPD, and the Research Informants were the Head of the RW / RT in the research location and the community of Lubuk Kembang Sari Village. Key informant retrieval techniques use purposive sampling technique while for informants the authors use snowball sampling technique. Types and data collection techniques used consisted of primary data collected using interview list techniques and secondary data collected using observation and documentation techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is Cresswell's theory. Based on this analysis technique, the writer assesses and concludes that community participation in the development of Lubuk Kembang Sari Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency has not been going well.
