Abstract
This study aims to find out and review how the Village Consultative Body functions in supervising village governance. The purpose of this study was to examine and assess more deeply the extent of the Functions of the Village Consultative Body (BAPEKAM) in Supervising the Implementation of Village Administration in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District and to find out the Obstacles in Supervising the Implementation of Village Governance. In this study, the Silalahi indicators were used, namely the indicators Set Standards, Actual Performance Measures, Compare Actual to Standards, and Take Corrective Action according to the functions of the Village Consultative Body. The type of research located in the West Maredan Village Consultative Body Office is a descriptive analysis research method with a qualitative approach, as well as with data collection techniques carried out by interview, observation and documentation techniques as data collection tools. Based on the analysis techniques in this study and the research conducted, it can be concluded that The function of the Village Consultative Body (BAPEKAM) does not yet have standard operating procedures so that the implementation of the construction of drainage channels and road cementation has not been completed today. The researcher's suggestion is that there is an effort to be able to increase the intensity of direct and indirect supervision, increase awareness and responsibility of each member regarding the duties and functions of BAPEKAM to play an active role in submitting opinions and providing positive directions for the implementation of good village governance
