Abstract
This study is a correlation study that aims to determine the relationship between learning methods and science learning outcomes for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 39 Pekanbaru in the 2021/2022 academic year. Held on the 11th, 12th and 13th of May 2022. The sample used a saturated sample with a total of 113 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The questionnaire distributed consisted of 30 statements. The data analysis technique in this study uses Pearson Product Moment analysis. The average value of the questionnaire recapitulation of all indicators of student learning is 80.32% with a very good category. The results of the research and data processing from the analysis showed that the correlation coefficient (rcount) was 0.80 with a significant level of 64%, this indicates that there is a significant relationship between the way of learning the variable (x) and the learning outcome of the variable (y). Hypothesis testing obtained tcount (14.03) > ttable (1.98). This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted "There is a significant relationship between learning methods and science learning outcomes for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 39 Pekanbaru, Academic Year 2021/2022"
