Abstract

This thesis is the result of research that describes how much influence parents' attention and interest in learning have on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 005 Gelora, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This study aims to determine: 1) The effect of parental attention on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 005 Gelora, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir Regency in the 2021/2022 academic year, 2) The effect of interest in learning on learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 005 Gelora, Bagan District. Sinembah Rokan Hilir Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year. The approach used in this research is ex-post facto. Ex-post facto research examines cause-and-effect relationships that are not manipulated or treated by the researcher. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Documentation is used to obtain data on learning outcomes, questionnaires are used to obtain data on the variables of parents' attention and learning interest. The instrument trial was conducted on 20 respondents. Test the validity of the instrument using Product Moment correlation and reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha formula. The analysis prerequisite test consists of normality test, linearity test, and homogeneity test. Hypothesis testing using multiple regression, f test and t test. The results of the study: 1) There is a positive influence of parental attention on student learning outcomes with a value of sig = 0.077 <0.05; tcount (1.791) > ttable (1.665), 2) There is no positive effect of interest in learning on student learning outcomes with a value of sig = 0.848 <0.05; tcount (921) > ttable (1,665).
