Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-concept towards learning motivation in high school and vocational school students in Lubuk Batu sub-district Jaya. This research was conducted in August 2018, the population in the study this is all of the Lubuk Batu Jaya high school and vocational students with samples totaling 165 students. Data collection in this study using questionnaires, documentation and interviews, to see if there is an effect of self-concept towards learning motivation in high school and vocational school students in Lubuk Batu district Jayayang is represented by 47 indicators consisting of 23 self-concept indicators and 24 indicator of learning motivation. Based on the results of the study obtained tcount of 39.131> ttable 1.960 then Ho is accepted Ha rejected at a significant level of 5% (0.05). So that it was concluded that there was a significant effect of self-concept towards motivation to learn in vocational and vocational students in Lubuk Batu Jaya, Bagi further researchers so that further research can be carried out with add other variables and use other research methods so the results are even better.
