Abstract
Recount text is a recounstraction of something that happened in the past. It is the unfolding sequence of events over time and the purpose is to tell what happened. Recounts begins with by telling the reader who was involved, what happened where this event took place and when it happened. Based on the variable of the study, it is calssified as a descriptive research because it only deals with one variable and the researcher just research the students’difficulties in writing recount text. The population of this research was the seventh grade at Thamavitya Mulniti Yala School In Thailand. in 2018 academic year.Total the seventh grade were 24 students’ and one classes. The research used class M.1/24 choose as the sampling of this research Based on the test results of 24 samples from the school, the researchers found several difficulties. The first is grammatical difficulties, the students average score was 55 of the three indicators of this difficulties that are the least found from the test, and the second difficulties is vocabulary, the students average score was 63 the researchers find more difficulties than indicators and grammar difficulties. And the last is spelling difficulties, the students average score was 59 on this indicator the researchers find a lot of mistakes from the tests given to students.
