Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction and the main effect of vermicompost fertilizer and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 on the growth and production of bitter melon. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Khrauddin Nasution KM 11 No. 113, Perhentian Marpoyan Cold Weather Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City for four months from February to May 2022. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The main agent is worm fertilizer with 4 levels, namely 0.540 g/plot, 1080 g/plot, 1620 g/plot. While the second factor was NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels, namely no treatment, 10 g/plant, 20 g/plant, 30 g/plant, so that 16 treatment combinations were obtained. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications, so that 48 experimental units (plots) were obtained. The parameters observed were age of flowering, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, number of fruit per fruit, weight of fruit per fruit, weight of fruit per plant and weight of fruit per fruit. Monitoring data were statistically analyzed and the BNJ test continued at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Kascing fertilizer and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 affected flower age, harvest age, number of fruit planted, number of fruit per fruit, fruit weight per fruit, and fruit weight per fruit. affect parameters. fruits. fruits. story. The main effect of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 was significant for all observation criteria, with the best treatment being NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 at a dose of 30 g/plant.
