Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of interaction and the main factors of giving tricho compost containing cow rumen and papaya leaf vegetable pesticides on the growth and production of shallots. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted for 4 months, starting from June 2021 to September 2021. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factorials. The first factor is the Dosage of Trico Compost Filled in the Rumen of Cows and the second factor is the Concentration of Vegetable Pesticides in Papaya Leaves, each of which consists of 4 levels of treatment. Parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate, number of leaves, age of harvest, number of tubers per clump, wet weight of tubers per clump, dry weight of tubers per clump, tuber weight loss, tuber grade, and percentage of pest attack. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the Honest Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of cow rumen content tricho compost and papaya leaf vegetable pesticides had a significant effect on all observation parameters except the number of leaves. The best treatment was the combination of Tricho Compost with Cow Rumen Contents 2.25 kg/plot and 45 ml Papaya Leaf Vegetable Pesticide (K3P3). The main effect of cow rumen content tricho compost gave a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was giving Tricho Compost containing Cow Rumen 2.25 kg/plot (K3). The main effect of papaya leaf pesticides has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was administration of 45 ml Papaya Leaf Vegetable Pesticide (P3).
