Abstract

This research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru for 4 months, starting from June to September 2022. The research aims to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of Trichocompost OPEFB and SP-36 on the growth and production of tomato plants. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was Trichocompost OPEFB consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0; 200; 400; and 600 g/plot and the second factor is SP-36 consisting of 4 treatment levels namely 0; 5; 10; and 15 g/plant, so there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there are 48 experimental units. Each unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants were used as samples, so that the total plant was 192 plants. Parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvesting age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit and number of remaining fruit per plant. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ follow-up test at the 5% level. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the effect of trichocompost OPEFB and SP-36 was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment was found in a combination of trichocompost OPEFB 600 g/plot and SP-36 15 g/plant. The main effect of trichocompost OPEFB was significant on all observed parameters, the best treatment was 600 g/plot. The main effect of SP-36 was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was SP-36 dose of 15 g/plant.
