Abstract

Humans are God's creatures, who have all the rights of life over them where these rights are called Human Rights (HAM), which means a right that is obtained from birth as a human being which is a gift from God. Human rights are also a meaningful part of human life, which can guarantee that they can live and be treated like human beings. The problems in this study are how violations of human rights in the right to religious freedom against Chinese UIGHUR Muslims and how is the protection of human rights in the rights of religious freedom of Chinese UIGHUR Muslims according to the 1948 UDHR. Judging from the type of research this thesis is normative legal research, namely legal research conducted by examining literature or literature study materials, which is where the author conducts library materials aimed at identifying legal concepts and principles. While the nature of this research is descriptive in nature, namely research that provides data as accurately as possible and strengthens old or new theories. From the results of this study it’s concluded that the crimes committed by the Chinese government against the Uighur ethnic group include genocide, because there are efforts to eliminate certain ethnic groups that are carried out systematically, the main efforts made by the Chinese government are to make policies that discredit the existence of Uighur Muslims. Because the crime of genocide itself is a very heinous type of crime.
